My Leadership Philosophy

My leadership philosophy is grounded in the principles of Servant Leadership—a model that prioritizes people, relationships, and purpose. Throughout my career in higher education, I have learned that the most effective leaders are those who listen well, build trust, and create environments where others feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their best.

This belief guided my doctoral research, where I explored how servant leadership shows up in practice among experienced academic leaders. I studied the behaviors, values, and relational choices that cultivate psychological safety, collaboration, and long-term organizational health.

On my website, Servant Leadership Training for Higher Ed, I share the findings of that research along with a practical training guide and tools to help leaders strengthen their teams and lead with authenticity and compassion. These tools include a Servant Leadership Training Guide, practical worksheets, and other resources for existing and aspiring servant leaders in higher education.
